We feel extremely lucky to have enjoyed such a rich personal and creative relationship for the past few years and we’re very proud of what we created together. Rather than trying to re-create this, we are putting our energy into new musical projects, inspired by the spirit of joy and originality that has characterized Bootstrap Circus.

We have been working on a new album, which we intend to finish and release sometime this year. Of course, we’ll let you know when this is available so don’t ‘unlike’ or ‘unsubscribe’ just yet!

Most importantly, we want to thank you for the enthusiasm and kindness you brought to our shows. You inspired us to create music. We had a blast and we hope you did too.

Adam, Kristin, Mark & Greg.

Mariposa’s musicians, artists, and venues have come together to create a day full of creative energy on the streets of our beloved little town.

Start the day with a cup of freshly-brewed coffee at Pony Expresso, accompanied by local talent at the open mic. Get lunch at 1850 and enjoy original music from the Yosemite Songwriting Retreat’s featured songwriters. Enjoy a cold beer in the afternoon with the Jespersons at The Alley, Rock out with JNX at Sweetwater deli, then take your blanket to the Arts Park and listen to Bootstrap Circus as the sun goes down. After dark, head underground to the Hideout Saloon for more music from the Yosemite Songwriting Retreat.

Head to the Boomtown website for details.

“The most important thing in art is The Frame. For painting: literally; for other arts: figuratively– because, without this humble appliance, you can’t know where The Art stops and The Real World begins. You have to put a ‘box’ around it because otherwise, what is that s**t on the wall?”
